Course content
The course consists of the following topics. Principles of rational nutrition. - Variety, the full value, promiscuity, cutting into the benefits and energy intake - Nutrition and Athletic Performance - Nutrition and health of the athlete Dietary supplements and sports performance. - Vitamins - Minerals and trace elements - Supplements Drinking regime athletes. - Water - Fluids before, during and after sport - The composition of a suitable sports drink The history of the use of supporting materials, the social aspects of doping. - Drugs as a social problem in the history of social development - Doping as a specific part of the drug problem from a historical perspective - The influence of social environment on drug use, the top sport and recreational physical activity Doping substances and methods. Influence of exercise performed. - Doping Group - Doping Methods - Substances subject to restrictions - Appearance, form, method of use, mechanisms of action of doping substances and methods The health aspects of drug use. Prevention and repression in the fight against doping. - Signs of drug use - Health consequences of various classes of doping substances - Types and methods of prevention - Legal aspects of the fight against doping The conclusion of the course, appreciation, discussion about course content, testing their knowledge.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the study-unit is to introduce students to the basics of nutrition in sport and the possibilities of preventive activity of anti-doping education. The content of the study-unit is focused on food and drinks at the stages before and during athletic performance, but also in the recovery phase, with emphasis on the possibility of appropriate supplementation. Students will also learn about teaching with various procedures and possible examples of anti-doping education as the best means of addressing this issue
Student completing the course will able to explain the basic theoretical knowledge about sports nutrition, doping and anti-doping education principles.
The premise of this course are acquired general knowledge of the physical physiology and sport.
