Learning outcomes
Understanding the basics of sociological thought and imagination (interpretation of sociological concepts and themes related to the social processes and institutions, social change, collective behavior and variety of roles in groups and individual citizens in a particular social situation). The main objective of the course is to teach students of sociological thinking and reasoning. Next, use the basic sociological concepts (position, role, socioeconomic status, norms and standards, etc.), but especially the ability to recognize the nature of the social problem. The predominant form of teaching is devoted to the theory in terms of the basic postulates and paradigms of general sociological disciplines with excursions application. Exercise aids lecturer prepares and issues (video, reading, discussion) for each exercise separately.
Study area knowledge - Is able to characterize the development of sociological stages of historical, describe them and link them with the basic industry representatives - Is able to define the basic theoretical concepts and paradigms - Is able to describe the topics associated with social processes, social change, diversity of roles of individuals, groups, and other basic concepts of the field (status, role, norm, sanction, social control, tolerance limit, ethnicity, tender, etc.) - Is able to describe the basic methodology of sociological sciences (qualitative and quantitative research methods)
Specialized skills - The student demonstrates the ability of the sociological imagination - Student is able to perceive the individual as a social personality incorporated into the system of social relationships and roles - Student is able to think about the forms of human groupings (from a small group of companies) - Student acquires theoretical foundations and research competencies

Assessment methods and criteria
1 Seminar work on three pages, with a focus on current sociological topic. On the basis of the selected original theme,expertly responds within its own text with the help of professional literature. 2 Test basic understanding of the subjecT 3 The study recommended literature and other materials recommended in the e-learning system Moodle. 4 70% of active participation in the classroom.
