Course content
The structure of lectures concerns partially the themes, which represent an introduction to the course (e.g. existing development and specifics of legal sociology as a discipline, judiciary former and now from the sociologic surveys point of view; corruption in Czech society - condition, assumed development and possibilities of solving this problem; criminogenesis and other socio-pathological problems in Czech society from the sociological point of view). The second part of lecture will be based on arrangement of a lecturer with students, who will be allowed to choose from the proposed partial themes (to the matter of legal aspects of nationalism, religion, etc.)

Learning outcomes
The lectures shall make the discipline accessible, study of which led from the end of 19th century to the origin of new disciplines between law and sociology. They will be preferentially focused on the empirical materials enabling the profound study of problems of: - contemporary Czech judiciary - social deviations and their prevention, incl. e.g. corruption - development of criminogenic behavior in selected structures of Czech society (drugs, xenophobia, etc.) The emphasis is placed particularly on the study of specific development of Czech society in the above mentioned spheres as well as on the study of their causes and consequences.
The study of this discipline shall enable to the students to get more familiarized with some of selected problems of development of constitutional state, utilizable as for the support of further education in this sphere, as for the civic life of individuals.

Assessment methods and criteria
The exam is based on a project of a sociological investigation. Project will be aimed at a selected problem of a legal sociology. It is a preliminary phase of incestigation consisted in defining the problem, aims, hypothesis, methods and research technics
