Course content
Objects of philosophy. Interrelationship of philosophy and medcine. World-view of philosophy, its developement and its influence to health personell and clients, patients. Worth hierarchy. Basic ethical codexes of mediacal personell Human views to life, death, health and illness Quality and sense of human life from philosopher's view, health worker's view and patient's view. Rights for health and personal responsibility for health Thanatology and euthanasia task

Learning outcomes
This subject is a part of subjects participating in formation of character, intellective and professional nurse's qualities. It helps to create attitudes to oneself, other people, society. Students are led to understand the relationship between philosophy and medicine, it explains how the world's opinion influenced medical practice and clients. It explains philosophic aspects in relation to thanatology.
Students are motivated to form their character, intelectual and professional characteristics of nurse, to create correct attitude to themselves, to others and to society.
