Learning outcomes
The course expands upon and deepens the capability to interconnect links, tools and methods for the various management levels of business activity in developing business concepts. Emphasis is placed upon the application of methods of strategic analysis, investment decision-making business plans, creating a system of indicators to assess company performance, interpretation of results.
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - distinguish practical examples of various levels of company management, - summarize the strengths and weaknesses of the tools used in marketing strategies, - propose a system of basic business plan and explain the links between them, - construct a simple production plan - solve to the amount of revenues, costs and profits in relation to the production plan and sales, - analyze financial indicators, evaluate the results, design a financial plan, - calculate product costing, edit individual items costing for financial decision-making and planning, - predict the need for acquisition of investment, compare the advantages of investment efficiency evaluation methods, - propose adequate control system business, - explain the importance of analysis of business performance for enterprise management.

Recommended prerequisites are Marketing Strategies, Controlling.

Assessment methods and criteria

Lecture attendance is recommended, not obligatory. Standard assissment based on following assignments: a) presentation of current information on the subject taught in the range of about 15 - 20 minutes (20%) b) in writing exam (80%) Course grade will beawarded according to the total score in the range of 1 - 10 points bassed on the following fading scale: 9 - 10 points: Excellent (1) 7 - 8 points: Very good (2) 5 - 6 points: Good (3) 0 - 4 points: Fail without make-up option (4) In the event of assissment (4) exist to right of 2 correcting attempts (conditions for completing the first attempt), marks will be awarded according to the above scale.
