1. Defining the economics of the environment Basic terms, relations to other fields and sciences 2. Environment and natural sources Basic elements of the environment (air, water, soil, emissions and wastes) 3. Problems of the environment Pollution of the environment, excessive use of natural sources 4. Causes for the birth of environmental problems in market economies market failures, externalities, government failure, public choice, ownership rights 5. Economic connections of the problematics of the environment effectiveness (maximal social effectiveness, socially optimal pollution) economics of the environment (conception of the sustainable development, environmental economics, ecological economics) 6.
