Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to enable students to become acquainted with the basic categories of corporate economics, to provide students with a complex survey of existing types of businesses, to provide some essential information about the life of a business, its processes and activities, which are carried out, and to create a fundament for tuition of continuing specialized subjects. Students will be able to: Describe different entrepreneurial entities and their role in the economy Characterize the elements of the entrepreneurial environment and carry out the basic analyses of this Classify businesses; state the basic characteristics of their individual forms and decide on the suitability of a form when setting up a company Make up the basic budget and entrepreneurial plan Characterize organizational forms of companies and suggest an organizational structure for a selected company Describe basic possibilities for company financing, determine, which sources are suitable for which situation Describe basic relationships with respect to financial statements and characterize their contents in details Characterize individual business activities, tasks and functions of individual departments Apply simple models for management of revenues, expenditures, profits, CF and investments
