Course content
1. Basics and tasks of the financial management. 2. Sources and forms of the finance. 3. Assets´ and financial structures of the company. 4. Management and finance of current assets, cash flow, liquidity. 5. Time factor for the NPV calculation, investment decision, dynamic methods for the variants´ assessment of their relative advantages, future value of cash flows. 6. NPV of cash flows, internal return rate (IRR). 7. Financial risk and uncertainty. 8. Financial analysis (I), ratios, liquidity, profitability and debt ratios, performance ratios. 9. Financial analysis (II) - study case. 10.Financial planning. 11.Investment plans, principles for the project preparation. 12.Over corporate forms of doing business. 13.Principles for a use of corporate functions (I).

Learning activities and teaching methods
Learning outcomes
Explanation of basic terms and their characteristics on examples of the finance of a production company. Focus on a practical use of the corporate financial analysis and corporate financial management. Taught topics to be further developed and extended in the master´s study, i.e. in the subject Corporate Finance II.
