Learning activities and teaching methods
Learning outcomes
The discipline deals with the history of buildings. It ranges from prehistory to the end of ancient history and focusses on the European cultural sphere. However it also covers Byzantine buildings ( from the beginning until the 17th century) and Islamic ones ( out of European cultural sphere in the period from the 7th to the 17th century)
Students of this discipline should be familiar with building development of residences and constructional types. Constructional types are classified from the perspective of building technologies, dispositional development and art expression. In lectures we will basically describe a great number of residences along with constructional types.
