Course content
1. Social economy and economics, democracy in economy. 2. Modernization of social state and its solidarity systems. 3. Social enterprise and its types in the framework of social policies. 4. Social responsibility of citizens, partnership of public and private sector. 5. Enterprises owned by employees, cooperatives, mutually supporting funds and unions. 6. Cooperative economy and its role in market economy. 7. Cooperatives communal, social, industrial and agricultural. 8. Housing cooperatives (and associations of owners), consumer cooperatives, money and service cooperatives 9. Present day trends, Euro-cooperative.

Learning outcomes
To provide basic orientation in the area of social and self-government economy, including cooperatives, operating on the border between profit and non-profit spheres in the context of transformation and the present day policies of the EU with the use of home and foreign knowledge. The course enhances the knowledge in the area of economics and financing non-profit enterprises and public services.
