Course content
1. Labour protection with electric current, safety training, test 2. Vacuum device, general principles of working, television screen description, image pick-up tube. 3. Semiconductors, basic knowledge, division, P and N-type conductivity rice, PN junction in inverse and conducting directions. 4. Semiconductors diodes, types of diodes, usage, V-A characteristics, single-way and full-wave rectifiers, filtering and stabilization of output voltage. 5. Transistors, transistor effect, connecting of transistor, working point, division of transistors, characteristics, transistor as an amplifier, sinusoidal oscillators, feedback, oscillator's usage. 6. Multi-layer semiconductor devices, bidirectional diode thyristor, tyristor, triac, characteristics, principles, usage, marking of semiconductor device. 7. Sound broadcasting and telecasting principles, reception, frequencies, principles, modulation, elementary receiver, amplifier receiver, superheterodyne receiver, television signal, antennae, main parts of TV receiver. 8. Generation of electricity, transformation of energy, power plants, types and basic principles, machines for production, hydroelectric alternators, turbo-alternators, time behavior of values and parameters, consumption characteristic, production point of view. 9. Distribution of electricity, distribution system, values, materials for conductors, insulators, future of electricity transmission. 10. Transformers, principles of transformers, basic components, primary a secondary winding, transformer ratio, input and output power, effectivity and losses, construction and cooling, types of transformers, phasor diagram, usage. 11. Electric and lighting, basic concepts and values, wave lengths, lighting requirements, types of luminaires, sources of light, bulbs, lamps, arc lamps, luminescence. 12. Electric drives, asynchronous machines, synchronous machines, direct current machines, alternate commutator machines, principles, parameters, speed control, starting, usage. 13. Microwave technics and their usage in practice, frequencies, basic concepts and values, signal receiving from geostationary satellites, microwave heating, moisture analyzer, microwave gate. 14. Signal recording and reproduction, audio and video, gramophone record, magnetic tape, CD, magnetic tape recording, principles, frequencies, videocassette recorders, systems, DVD.

Learning outcomes
Meaning of subject is considered as general knowledge obtaining in a branch, including electronic basement, with deep focus on usage connected with technics, shows principles of device, there is also an accent on measurement and diagnostics of electronic circuits. Aims: -encompassment of basic electronics and electrotechnics -obtaining electronic device principles -experiences in connecting of electric circuits -experiences in measurement and diagnostic on electric devices
