Course content
Lecture topics: 1.week: Medical and clinical psychology, psychology at health service 2.week: Ethics in medical services 3.week: Interaction and its psychological basis in contact with patients. 4.week: Effective communication with patients I. 5.week: Effective communication with patients II. 6.week: Effective communication with agresive patients 7.week: Issues of medic's work - stress and burn out syndrom 8.week: Issues of death and dying 9.week: Use of knowledges of personality in practical training Seminar topics: 1.Gaining skills in social interaction field and communication, verbal and nonverbal communication 3.Gaining basic skills of coping with difficult life situations 4.Productiove and nonproductive behavier 5.Possibilities of communication with physicaly and mentaly handicapped clients, methods of relaxation and self-relaxation

Learning activities and teaching methods
Learning outcomes
The subject is outlined as a theoretical-practical unit. It offers students the basic knowledge of relations of psychical phenomena and processes in terms of general and clinical psychology. It defines basic problems, terms and relations of psyche. The aim of clinical psychology is to understand the psychological problems of some kinds of diseases. It deepens the knowledge that is necessary for professional handling of difficult situations in the care of individual needs of ill, handicapped and dying people. It deepens the knowledge that is necessary for the maintenance of mental balance of the care and help provider himself.
Students agin developemental knowledges of psychological phenomenon principles and processes at terms of general, clinical and medical psychology, which are necessary to keeping mental balance of care provider.
