Learning outcomes
The lecture provides a systematic and comprehensive introduction into basic disciplines of philosophy (ontology, the noetic theory, cosmology, anthropology, and ethics), acquaints the students with the most important ideas and issues of the European philosophical tradition, from the very beginning up to the present day. The course observes the inner structure of philosophical problems, and in within this frame, it presents views of great philosophers of the past centuries, as well as the main representatives of the contemporary philosophical thinking. The lecture should provide the interested students with a good grounding for deeper philosophical study.
After completing the subject, the student masters basic philosophical concepts. They have a notion of basic disciplines of philosophy (ontology, the noetic theory, cosmology, anthropology, and ethics). The student is able to reflect a certain problem philosophically based on understanding the given philosophical text. The student is able to interpret a philosophical text. They can write a scholarly text and is capable of a discussion on the assigned theme.
