Key learning outcomes
The graduates in the programme Art with a View to Education will gain sufficient communication skills and at the same time, they will get overall knowledge of the history of Czech and world art, they will master the theory of communication and will take the courses of the fundamental subjects such as pedagogy, psychology and philosophy. The gained knowledge will include all kinds of art such as architecture, three-dimensional art, painting, drawing, graphics, graphic design, photography, video, performing arts, new media. The graduates in these courses (general art) will be provided not only with the essential experience of creating artifacts, using the classic art methods but also by means of the alternative techniques, that come from various creative fields, but mainly from the contemporary fine art. They will be able to take part in their own creative process, invent suitable creative projects and experience, to conduct and encourage art activities with a view to education, organize workshops, make art programmes for free time activities with a view to education, to work in cultural institutions as professionals in the field of art, art performance, art work, its application and communication. Besides the practical skills (ability to create good quality artifact, perform art or carry out a conceptual art project) they will manage to give a lecture or a public performance regarding the field of the forms of communicating art production and interactive exhibition projects (workshops, courses, excursions, etc.) They can also work as culture counselors or speakers in the art field in the area of state administration, public, private or commercial enterprise or even in the municipal government. They will also be qualified as guides working in the field of art and culture tourism. Furthermore, they will be able to carry out Art teaching, educational or relaxation programmes and activities in the authentic areas. They might even do editing jobs in specialized journals or culture-oriented publishers.
