Learning outcomes
The course focuses on: - development and training of project thinking - adoption of a process approach in design (operative level of design management) - strategic design management ? design leadership - teaching and training of methods and tools of design thinking - design driven innovation ? methodology, approaches, reasoning - interaction with practical experts not connected with the academic sphere - survey of newly emerging design disciplines: service design, business design, user experience design, etc., and exploring overlaps into students' own specializations After completing the two-semester course, the student is able to better manage and control the design process. The student's skills extend his/her offer for customers to become a comprehensive service. The designer is able to communicate with the commercial sphere more fluently and thus put high-quality design in practice. The graduate is able to think in a broad context of newly emerging disciplines interconnected with his/her specialization. The graduate is capable of cooperation on an interdisciplinary basis with specialists in service design, business design, or user experience design. The student obtains an argumentation basis for dealing with clients and putting high-quality design in practice. The course represents both a theoretical basis and practical training for students to prepare them for potential professional activities in Incubator Předlice.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
