Learning outcomes
The course deals with a detailed analysis of an artwork from both the theoretical and practical point of view, and shows the plurality of approaches to interpret an artwork. It gives basic information about tendencies in art theory, about schools and streams characteristic especially for 20th century, however developing up to the present day, which influence the current practice for analysis and interpretation. The cycle of lectures provides basic terminology for the given field and creates a view of an artwork as a multivalent and at the same time conceptually graspable phenomenon. Direct and active confrontation of students with artworks and curatorial projects in the environment of galleries will be part of the course.
The gained capabilities constitute an encompassment and an aquirement of knowledge and experience in the given field of study, they result from a concrete annotation of the subject and are aimed at a profile´s fulfilment of the graduate of the given field of study.
